i am a middle aged woman who in the past year and a half have gone thru major medical prob;ems. What was supposed to be minor surgery recover time 4-6 weeks took me almost 6=8 months and i am still recovering. I wanted to learn another way to cure myself both physcially and mentally without the use of medication A friend told me to try mediating bit my mind does the hokey pokey and o knew o needed help i have started the on line classes just finshed class 1 tonight so will give this a go Does anyone have any tips for beginners? I thinking that the more you try to mediate the easier it is to accept and grasp

The biggest tip would be to remember that it is the Kundalini energy which takes your attention beyond your mind, into thoughtless awareness. Meditation is not about concentration or putting a lot of effort into stopping your thoughts. Relax and be patient with yourself. Enjoy the course without any expectations on yourself and by the end of it you should find your mind behaving smile
