Today I woke up feeling drained and I had been having fitful sleep. I am usually healthy and positive and I follow the same routine every day. I have been following this meditation for about a week and find it very useful but today I have literally cried my eyes out all day. Is this a good or a bad sign?

Hi!
Hope you are feeling better now!
This just means that for some reason your attention was pulled out of ballance to the left side. Sometimes this happens if we are thinking too much about the past, or are exposed to something that has had negative effects in the past, or if we are reading or watching something overly-emotional or sentimental, or if we need to face something from our past that we have been repression, of if there is just something “in the air” that day… Other times this just happens, and we might not figure out why. I had a morning like that sometime last week – was feeling very emotional, felt like crying for no good reason, was feeling miserable and pitying myself. So I just had meditation and asked my energy to bring me back to balance again, was feeling better after meditation, and after breakfast and coffee it was all gone. I don’t really know what it was nor all the reasons why, I might have figured out some parts of it, the rest of it I just let go.
The thing about this meditation is not that we become completely immune to imbalance right away, but rather that we can usually recognize much sooner that we are going out of balance, and then we can get back into the center with the help of meditation and some other balancing techniques much faster, and usually without going through all the usual turmoils that these imbalances normally bring.
I don’t know whether what I am saying here is of much help, but I do hope that you are feeling better…
Best,
Mar’yana

I am thankyou Mar’Yana :) I had a very traumatic childhood and I think it it that I repressed my feelings for so long that opening up my chakra allowed me to reface them. I am much more in control of my emotions now and I realise what they mean when they say truth. I feel like I know how to stay true to my self by allowing myself to process an emotion in my heart chakra. I feel like a better person already. Meditation has helped me much more than years of counselling.

Thanks again Mar’Yana :)

Good to hear that you are feeling better!
One of the main thins I am learning from this meditation is not to be too hard on myself, a friend who is also practicing Sahaja yoga told me once: “It’s about treating yourself like you would treat your child”. Many of the “left side” problems go hand in hand with our attitude of being too harsh to ourselves, so if we gradually change that attitude, and instead of always putting ourselves down, learn to enjoy ourselves, love ourselves and treat ourselves with respect, then gradually also the other left-sided tendencies will become weaker.
So, enjoy the meditation, and please let us know if any other questions come up.
Best,
Mar’yana
