Dear friend,

Which class are you doing right now?

Here are a few things: if you feel tingling, that indicates that there are some imbalances still in your system that need some time to clear out.

You can sit for meditation as long or as short as you are comfortable, it does not matter so much how long you sit. What matters is, how long you can remain in complete thoughtless state – that is what we are trying to reach, and gradually to increase. That is the real meditation. What that means though, is no thoughts in the mind, no images (no visualization), no seeing colors, no willful effort. If any of these are still present that means you are not reaching the meditation yet.

One thing that I can sugest to help you spead up the clearing out of the obstruction in your system is the footsoak technique: http://www.onlinemeditation.or…..soaking-1/ Try doing this every day before meditation.

Perhaps you can also ask your friends to give you that quiet time of 15-30 min. and not to disturb your meditation. Alternatively, maybe you can find some other place or some other time to meditate, when you will not be disturbed, for instance, meditating early in the morning when it’s still quiet because everyone is sleeping cand be a good idea.

Hope this helps,

Mar’yana

Dear Rickie,

Yes, increased understanding of yourself is definitely part of this process of self-realization. But there is much more. If you meditate regularly and use the clearing techniques that might be needed to balance out your system, you will eventually start feeling the energy of your hands very clearly, and will learn to decode it. If you develop these sensations, they eventually become a very precise tool that you can use to find out the truth about yourself and everything around you.

So please continue with the course, you should start feeling better once you meditate morning and evening and do a footsoak daily. Also it often helps attending a sahaja yoga meditation class if there is one where you live. They are always free, and done by very much experienced volunteers who can help you a lot.

When you feel the fear the next time, try bringing your attention to the top of your head, put the right hand in the middle of your chest, and sincerely ask the Motherly energy inside you: Mother, please remove all my fears, please make me a strong and confident person. See whether that helps.

Hope things get better soon,

Mar’yana
