I have been wanting for a long time to fill in the void that I feel in my life and to remain “cool” in the face of events which I have no or little control over. Mediation seems to be one of the avenues and I have trying several times to get into it…always to find all sorts of excuses not to do it…This site is another attempt and after doing class 1 I feel more motivated…however to let my thoughts go seem to be a forever problem… shopping list; tasks to do during the day; etc….. is there a tip or help!!!!

Hello, and welcome to the site!

Meditation definitely helps us to keep our cool in difficult or stressful situations.

Don’t worry about trying to hard to stop your thoughts – as you continue with regular practice of meditation it will improve automatically. For now, the most important thing is to be as regular as you can with your meditation. Use the online course, or any resources you find on this site to help you, and try if you can to meditate everyday, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

All the best!

Sarah
