Hello there!

I was interested in trying out meditation a few years ago while in high school, mainly just as a new hobby. I tried sitting cross legged on my bed with my eyes shut and saying “ommmm”, but, obviously this wasn’t going to work (which I would’ve known at the time if I’d actually bothered doing any research).

Now, at the age of 19, I am trying out meditation again, after being inspired (I’m slightly embarrassed to say this) by Elizabeth Gilbert’s novel; ‘Eat, Pray, Love.’ Only this time, I decided to do some research so I can actually do it properly. So that’s how I found this wonderful 10 lesson, online meditation course which teaches Sahaja Yoga. For free!

I am only on lesson one, but I love it already! The informative video explained everything in a really easy to understand way (I now finally understand chakras!) and the guided meditation is really helpful! I have done the guided meditation three times so far (I only started the course yesterday!) and from the very first time I did it, I felt really refreshed and chilled out during and afterwards. You literally feel the benefits straight away!

In the guided meditation audio, part of it tells you to “place your palms on the floor, and feel your fatigue, over-activity and thoughts being absorbed by the ground”. At first, I thought it meant metaphorically. That’s when I started to feel a very light pulsing sensation in my hands. Don’t know was it my imagination running wild, but I felt it. My thoughts, fatigue, over-activity being absorbed into the floor.

Today, I got very excited when I held my hand above my head, and felt (very gently) the cool breeze that is described in the written paragraph. Was this me feeling my Sahasrara Chakra? I think so.

I seriously urge everyone who is debating to take this course, to do it. I’m only on the second day, and I feel wonderful.

Yes the energy on top of your head is your Kundalini that flows out. As you described it, its a very gentle, soothing energy.

Well the more people on board, the more peaceful people around the globe :=) You can surely show people the website, that’d be a really good start :)
