Hello,

I am new to this site and this type of meditation.  I haven’t had the pleasure of starting yet (I just received a pamphlet the other day), but I am awaiting a phone call so I can join a group this coming week.

I am not new to meditation or spirituality but I am new to Kundalini awakening process, even though I have heard and read about this before.  Recently however, I have been ‘pushed’ by the universe to learn as much as I can about Kundalini.  This resulted in:

endless reading on the subject, I’ve got more books than I can find time for…..

starting Kundalini yoga in a Sikh temple (which came ‘out of the blue’)  and I’m a eastern European :-)

learning about Ayruveda and Doshas

learning about balancing chakras through proper nutrition

getting book on mantras and mudras and reciting several (Ganesha being first)

reciting chakra specific sounds in order to balance them

getting Ganesha pendant from Nepal and wearing it on my neck religiously

suddenly being interested in Sanskrit and East Indian practices

and now I find myself in this forum.

It is clear to me that I am guided in this direction and the doors just keep opening and I am very excited about it!

I remember few months ago I woke up in the middle of the night because I felt like something crawled up my spine, very quickly, and intensely (as if a sneak crawled up inside my spine).  The feeling was so intense that I sat up straight from a deep sleep.  I forgot this until recently when I read about Kundalini being the ‘snake’ that moves  up the spine as it awakens.  I wonder if that in fact was the first awakening of my Kundalini.

Anyway, I am very happy to be here and I cannot wait to start my class and meditation and to experience the joy and peace that comes with it.

Thank you for this site!

Hello Angelic,

You mentioned that you are awaiting a call regarding a class — which class is this specifically for?  Are you missing any information for you can find the class?  smile

Hello Joanne,

thank you for your speedy reply.

I got a hold of Eva, she is from the Surrey/Guildford group, but the New Westminster number has no voice mail it just rings and then cuts off.  I wanted to try them both (on different days that is :-)

Where abouts is ‘your’ group?

Hi Angelic,

The New West class is currently taking a break for a month or so, as the instructor is visiting her hometown.  I will be teaching at a new class starting up in the tri-cities area soon.  Depending on where you are located, there are classes on the border of Vancouver and Burnaby, as well as in Langley. smile

I am right on the border of Burnaby and Coqitlam (Lougheed Mall area). I would love to come to a class tha is closer than Surrey (coquitlam, port moody).  Please let me know when and where you will be starting, meanwhile I will attend the one in Guildford.

Where abouts is the one on the border of Bby and Vanccouver, is it the Sikh temple?  tha’s about 10-15 min with no traffic for me.

Thank you :-)

The class on the border of Burnaby and Vancouver is near Boundary and Kingsway, on Joyce Street, at the Collingwood Neighbourhood House.  In terms of distance the Guildford class is probably closer to Lougheed Mall, however these classes are on different days so you can always attend both and see which one works out better for you!  smile

Will definitely let you know about the new tri-cities class once the details are finalized.

Wishing you a wonderful and deep experience at the class! smile
