I am brand new to meditation and tried to use breathing techniques but cannot seem to get the hang of it all.  I would self-describe myself as very high energy and it has always been difficult for me to calm down my mind long enough to feel relaxed.  I have recently started to notice what I believe are the first stages of health effects from being this way.  I have been told my blood pressure is borderline high even though I am a perfect weight and exercise regularly.  I also eat a balanced diet with lots of fruits and vetetables and limit my fat intake.  I do think, however, my protein intake might be on the low side.

 

I hope to find a way to relax and also become “happier” in my day to day life as well as strengthen my relationships with friends and family.
