26 years ago I drown and was resuscitated.  8 months ago I faced my biggest fear, I walked in the ocean.

I always held a slightly different view of life and my surroundings than those around me, and until my ocean walk, I didn’t understand why.  Easiest way to describe my experience – I discovered my inner Buddha and I was overcome with peace and a calmness I’ve never known before.

Not educated in Buddhism at all, I felt in my core it was the right direction for me and I began studying Mahāyāna.  The more I educate myself, I gain more of an understanding of who I am and why I am.

Being a wife, mother, and full time worker with ADD and OCD, I have struggled with meditation though.  I have been looking forward to furthering my personal journey and sharing this path with my son, and through this site, I feel I have found the gentle nudge I’ve been looking for.

Thank you.

Dear whiteginger,

thank you so much for sharing your story with us, I hope our course works for you. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments when you are doing the course, and I fullheartedly with you good fortune in your search. From my own experience of sahaja yoga meditation, I can tell you that it has made my search so much easier, so much more enjoyable, but at the same time it made it possible to reach much deeper into myself and my surroundings than I was ever able before.

So I wish you all the best, and please stay in touch.

Sincerely,

Mar’yana
