Jai shree mata ji,
i have been doing sahajyoga since from past three years…and i am watching soo many changes on me..these changes are very good…now a days i when i am,meditating.so many thoughts are coming..i just want to know why these thoughts are coming….

This is a challenge I’ve also had to face in my growth for some time. As far as why thoughts are coming, that is often over, or under, activity in Swadhisthana chakra. For this, you will need to introspect. If you have what they call a “hot liver” (you might know, put your left hand to your right hip and see if it’s warmer than the other side) you might consider trying the icepack treatment. It’s very simple, just a matter of applying the icepack to the liver for a short time during your meditations or even throughout the day. If on the other hand you have a lot of extra time, this is another gateway for negativity to get slip into your attention. It’s important for yogis and yoginis to use their attention fully in some way that they are busy enough to avoid this. Keeping attention lovingly on world issues can help. As they say, “idle minds are a devil’s playground”.

Another really great way to address issues of Swadhisthan is to treat right Mooladhara. The mantra for this center helps tremendously and even the affirmation, “Mother Kundalini, you are the destroyer of evil” will likely help. Solidifying Mooladhara is always a great place to start with any issue.

Basically with all the transformation that is going on within you, there comes a counter force trying to stop you from achieving your ascent. This negativity takes advantage of any weaknesses we have so I’ve found that it’s been really important for me to try to face myself completely honestly and deal with any lingering negativity at its roots. First and foremost just surrender everything to Mother Kundalini, and in that state of joy stay in thoughtless awareness as much as possible.

There was one talk where Shri Mataji had told that although all things permeate, negativities only permeate up to the level of air. Only we can take to an ethereal mind so when we’re in thoughtless awareness, no negativity can disturb our attention. Shri Mataji shared a very simple method for getting rid of negative thought patterns. One only has to commit to fighting out the negativity saying firmly, “Not that, not that”, after any occurrence.

Above all, don’t feel guilty and identify with the thoughts, just know that we are only the Spirit. The mind is only myth and we have to rise beyond it!

Hello,
It is better never ask yourself why this or that thought is coming. The thoughts about thoughts are also thoughts:-) Just watch them until they disappear.
