Hello my name is Alex. First of all I’d like to thank you for offering this site and program for free. I’ve always gravitated towards meditation and yoga, hearing about the positive purifying effects it can have on one’s emotional, physical, and most important spiritual well being. I was raised a Lutheran but I never felt a real connection to God in that time except maybe when me and other members of my confirmation class did a canoeing/portaging trip in the Boundary Waters in Northern Minnesota. I felt awe and a connection not just to nature but to the people I was traveling with. I’m coming to understand that while Religion can work for some people, it doesn’t work for me. I never liked or understood the idea that I could simply pray to God, ask for forgiveness, and somehow know everything is fine and find my purpose in that way. I have tried to get into meditation and yoga before but always failed to keep up with it. This time around feels different and I think I’m finally ready to dive in and start shedding away parts of me that don’t serve my true purpose of being alive. With the Sajaha yoga meditation program and another yoga for beginners program I’m doing, I know I’m on the right track to becoming a more joyful and realized being. It’s long, deep, journey, but I’m ready to commit to it.

Thank you again,

And good luck to all others on their journey. I hope you find the true bliss in life that I too am looking for.

Namaste

Welcome, Alex!

Hope this course works for you and you find what your are looking for :).

Generally we do not recommend combining Sahaja yoga with other meditation techniques, instead we suggest that you try them each separately, so that you can see which one works better for you.

Enjoy the course, and please let us know if you have any questions in the process!

Best,

Mar’yana

The other yoga program I’m doing is just body poses, no meditation with the mind. Wouldn’t that be okay do you think, to do them both? I think they both offer benefits, just in different areas. Let me know your thoughts please. Thank you.
