I have been following the course and feel it is helping me. I have been suffering from anxiety, raised blood pressure and fatigue. It is when I started the meditation 6 for spirit that it was different. The first time I did it I cried and that felt good. However, it has become harder and I have had an increase in my anxiety and fear and today I have cried a lot when doing the meditation. I want to know if this normal and what can I do? Thank you! x

Dear Susie,

Yes, it does make sense. Most of the time fears, anxiety and even things like weak immune system are the indication and result of an imbalance in the heart chakra, so exactly the energy centre that is introduced in class 6. While you are doing class 6, your attention is on your heart chakra, and so that gives much more support and invitation to your inner Kundalini energy to be working out the imbalances in that chakra. Depending on how serious this particular imbalance is, it might be more or less difficult to deal with, it might get a bit unpleasant, and also it might take some time.

What I would suggest is to be patient with yourself and with this course, and take it one step at the time. See how you feel, you might want to stick around for a bit longer with this particular class 6 until you feel more even and not so disturbed, or if you find it is too much for you – then go back to previous classes, or even skip this one for now, and move on to class 7, and you can always come back to class 6 later when you feel you are ready to deal with whatever it is that is bothering you on that level. So just listen to yourself and decide which route to take based on what feels right.

Wishing you all the best,
Mar’yana

Dear Mar’yana, I have moved on, but likewise the next level is proving difficult and my anxiety levels are huge, with headaches. Should I continue?

Sorry that it took so long for me to answer, the last week seems to have been super-busy for all of us here…

You could try going to the previous classes, and see what happens, or you might want to take a break and come back later. In the end, you will have to face this anxiety (and its source) sooner or later, if you want to move beyond it, but only you will know, when is the best time to actually deal with it.

One thing that might work much better is going to the actual local sahaja meditation class, if there is one where you live – many things that seem almost impossible to overcome on your own, are actually quite manageable in the group…

Here is the list of contacts by country: http://www.freemeditation.com/…..n-classes/

Hope this is helpful,
Mar’yana
