I am just starting the meditation journey and I hope to achieve the ability to forgive and love myself again. After a handfull of life battles, my spirit was weakened and I lost love and respect for myself. I hoping to gain that back.

Such great qualities! Forgiving and loving.smileIf practiced regularly, Sahaja Yoga as a meditation technique will help you find your true self. It will give you inner power. Love and forgiveness in the true sense will reflect through you and become part and parcel of your being. As you enjoy, the others will enjoy your qualities too.

im new to this website and since i see so many old threads without alot of replies, ill just comment on this one.. im Markos4 and ive turned to meditation as ive found myself feeling stupid, ive lost respect for myself too,ive been forgetting things this last couple of weeks.im only 18 but i remember that when i was 5, my mind was powerful and i want t go back to where i can remember everything.can you belive that when i was 5 i could read a whole big paragraph and write it down without having to look at it again? i want my powerful brain back!

Dear Markos,

first of all welcome to onlinemeditation also known primarily as Sahaja Yoga. Secondly please do not be hard with yourself, we all have lost certain abilities that we used to have which have faded away along the years. When we meditate, all that can come back and a lot of other qualities can also be developed naturally.

It just got hidden :). In your case by simply meditating nicely on your left side, forgiving and giving love to yourself is a veru good beginning. The two lines from Shri Mataji given by Ozge on the second post, is exactly what one need to do.

On a second step, the first chakra called as Mooladhara is the one that will allow you to regain innocence and the ability to strengthen your memory. By simply sitting down on the earth is enough for a starter, to get back to the root of meditation.

Step by step things will improve again :=), just be patient with yourself.
