Hello everyone!

I’m actually quite new to meditation and have never practised it on a regular basis, mainly due to the fact that I didn’t really know HOW to do it. However I’ve always been interested in meditation, yoga and so on. So I’m really happy to be here and get some inside and information that will help me get started.
The second reason I’m here is because I’m doing my bachelorthesis on meditation and lucid dreaming and I hope some of you feel like sharing your mediation experience with me. I made a questionnair I’ll put up in the respectve forum shortly, so if you want to tell me something about your reasons to meditate. how you feel while doing it and so on, I would be really grateful!

Hello Gianna,

The reason why we have dreams is that our spirit is trying to guide us to the right path. But, dreams are misunderstood because we are confused.

When we sleep, we go to another depth where we reach the unconsciousness. But, when we wake up we reach our subconscious and confusions can arise with our experiences from both consciousness and we can interpret them incorrectly.

Meditation is totally different. Meditation is where one person is totally aware of his/her surroundings but, is not concentrating on those what is happening around them. This state is called “Thoughtless awareness”. It is totally different from being unconscious.
