Hello!

I am delighted to find this website.  I found it via a little note in a newsagency, advertising a local class in Sahaja yoga meditation.  Then one website led to another and I have found this one.  Although I have found a local class I may attend, there is far more chance of me doing an online course.  I have so much to learn about relaxing, not worrying.  I want to get my physical body into a permanently relaxed and content state.  I know it is a lot to ask but I am feeling open minded.  At worst, I am sure I will learn something out of this.  At best, I might achieve my goal!  That would just be a miracle for me.

Thank you so much that this is free.  That is just the biggest and best blessing and a real encouragement.  I have no excuses now!!

I have just done Class 1.   I’d like to say what high quality the video was -the music, visuals, teachings and voiceover.  I really enjoyed it and feel great.  Also the quality of the following audio meditation.  I am going to download the whole course on to my MP3 now, so I can practice my ‘homework’ over the next 2-3 days as instructed.  I am very excitied!

Thank you for your reply!  Today I listened to the first half of the course on my MP3 on the tube, then the second half on the computer once I was home.  I think I took in more when I was watching it on the computer but it felt good to keep in contact with the course on my journeys today.  I did my meditation once home.  I felt the cool breeze from the first time I did the meditation and yesterday I tried the meditation in the car (parked!) and it was really strong!  I also watched a third of the ‘Experiment with Truth’ video which for some reason I missed yesterday.  So I’ll watch the rest in stages over the next few days.  I think Shri Mataji is lovely and very engaging.  I’m very hopeful meditation will be the answer I’m looking for.  I’m very open minded.

Well today was a suprise!  I did my meditation (very sleepily) early this morning.  I forced myself out of bed to the floor to do this but I think this raised my concentration. The results so far: at work for the first time I felt some of what I was looking for. In fact quite a lot! Peace, in my body and in my brain.  In addition, this time I noticed unhelpful ‘limiting’ thoughts and I was able to hear and see them clearly and isolate them.  Then I would question them and replace them with some of the new information I have learnt from this course.  Almost like a new truth. It also increased my output.

My only risk to my success now is myself.  Having attained this feeling and taste of inner peace when I came home, time pressured and tired as always I  thought about skipping my meditation and learning tonight. Not only would I save myself some time but I have a tendency to, on the slightest understanding/success in life, to think ‘yeah yeah yeah I know it all. I got what I needed from this’ and move on.  But I end up failing again, blaming the course/treatment and looking for the next one.  Perhaps with my ‘self-realisation’ and learning to ‘know myself’ I recognised this and reminded myself there are 10 parts to this course!  How could I think I knew it all at only 1.  Also, if I had learnt this much at Class 1, how much more could I know at Class 10?  So I practiced my meditation and watched the video again.  This time learning even more and gaining the ‘breeze’ again.  I found these links I found in the forum to be particularly helpful of how to start and end meditation too-which I recommend /meditation-forum/meditation-techniques/new-techniques-for-meditation/#p104  or http://www.onlinemeditation.or…..itation/

OK so last night to spur me onwards and upwards, I went to a local meditation course!  I can’t believe I’ve found out this much information about meditation since I started my journey at the weekend.  Really I am so indebted to people who have given their time and heart.  I found the course  http://www.sahajayoga.org.uk/T…..ondon.html  I was so welcomed.  Just a small group.  I think the most encouraging thing was the genuine heartfelt story of the leader saying how meditation has changed his life.

Today was a good test.  I did my meditation again this morning.  Now with a picture of Shri Mataji and a candle as guided by my course.  The results?  I really did well today.  I was much calmer at work. YES!  And when a storm arose, it was not directed at me and luckily not my fault.  My leader described how people with malintentions will flee from you in time as your Kundalini grows stronger and stronger.  They just can’t stand to be around your energy.  I wondered if this was the case as usually I’d be trampled in such occasions even though it wasn’t my fault but it really was not directed at me this time in any way.

So I started Course 2 today and am loving it.  Just can’t believe how much Sahaja meditation has already changed me for the better in such a short space of time.  My aim is to have that permanent state of peace no matter what is erupting around me.

Happy meditating.

Thank you for your recommendation. The 2 techniques you have mentioned really help a lot. It is so nice to get positive feedback from the seekers in such a short time.

Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Thank you for your reply!

I have since gone to my second local meditation course which was fantastic-2 new members.  Then on their advice, I have visited another class in the local area, a bit further afield, to get a different flavour.  I really enjoyed my new class.  It was in a town hall and really beautiful.  Here the class was much bigger, about 30 and some people were had been going for years: This class was different as although it was designed for beginners, the second half was for those who wanted to advance, so I can return to this one which is great.  Again, a lady offered to ‘work’ on me and together, we read what my body was telling me.

I achieve the cool breeze very easily and satisfyingly.  So now the next step I want to find out about is how to ‘read’ what my hands are telling me.  I think this will be the most exciting part because what I hope to achieve is the knowledge to heal areas of me that need healing-emotionally and physically and also to be highlighted to anything I am doing/experiencing in my life which is not helpful.  I have certainly found far less turmoil in my life.  Nobody else has changed, so it must be the meditation.  I wonder if I emit a new different energy that does not inspire conflict or whether conflict has been removed from me?  I am not sure yet.  Anyway, I have a possibly very difficult time approaching surrounding family.  I can’t help wondering if God has brought me to meditation in advance to prepare and equip me for this.  All I know is that I am doing the Sahaja yoga morning and evening since I started and I am not stopping!!

You will eventually get the complete knowledge of your subtle system as long as you meditate. Attend the meetings and grow.

What is common among all of us is the work of Kundalini energy. She raises and connects us with the All-perwading Power of God Almighty. And transforms us into a higher personality. It is normal that you start to feel the difference in your life. It is your Kundalini, nothing else. wink
