I am a novice to practice sahaja yoga for only two weeks. There are three questions in my practice.

Firstly, I will shake my body forward-back or cycling most time, especially listening the music for cleaning. How do i do? Let it go? Or, keep my body fixed by my will? I have tried to put candles on my left side of body, i still shake but not so often.

Secondly, i often feel eye-soured after looking at the Mother’s picture. Can i close my eyes? And, where should i focus–the whole face or the red-pot on the forehead of Mother?

Thirdly, i have difficulty to focus on two parts. In another word, i can focus either on our Mother or on the top of my head. How do i do?

Hello and welcome to the site!

In meditation you can close your eyes if you prefer. When you are looking at Mother’s picture, it is indeed helpful to look at the red dot (bindi) on the forehead. This can help to slow your thoughts down. If you find it easier to put your attention in one place, you can either keep it on the photo of Mother or at the top of your head – whatever you prefer. You can try both and see which one is more helpful in bringing you in to meditation. You have done the right thing by using candles on the left side. If you continue to do so, the shaking should continue to reduce.
