Hello. My name is Daisy. I’ve been working towards a place of healing and have been meditating here and there, almost daily using various meditations online and/or simply sitting in quiet in the dark of my room. I’ve channeled my energy into the earth and drawn down Light from the Universe, etc. I find, however, that there must be much I am lacking and so I’ve decided to start the course available here. I still need much balancing in my energy centers, as well as learning how to let go and be… how to forgive myself and how to be gentle with myself and with others. I’ve struggled through personal issues from my past, and I’ve struggled with how best to “parent” myself and take care of myself now that I am learning what I need in order to function at my best. I am very intuitive and find that the more I meditate the more intuitive I become, which creates more challenges in balancing my own energies when I am bombarded by the energies of others. This is even harder when my hormonal cycles are at their lowest and I tend to be even more intuitive than normal. It is also harder when I experience quite a lot of stress, both internally and externally, as I try to manage it with various levels of success. I’m an extreme introvert, as well, and so with over-stimulation, I struggle even more to maintain balance. I find that my mind literally goes into a kind of lock down and I cannot find the words I need, or the analytic pathways in my mind that will allow me to problem solve. I also find it more difficult to control my emotions, in these moments, I tend to go into a panic mode, making it much more difficult to function. I’ve tried grounding my energies, but when I am bombarded by stimuli, it is much more difficult to center and ground. I am hoping that this course will help me through these challenges, and I’m also hoping to find something that will allow me to work through the moments when my mind freezes and I cannot function as well in my highly demanding job.

One thing I would like to ask… is there a meditation that will help me to open up the pathways in my mind when I am overstimulated so that my mind does not freeze up?

Hello Daisy,

Welcome to the site, and thank you for sharing with us.

The best advice I can give you is to just try the meditation course, and as you do so, try to let go of all mental perceptions or expectations you have. Sahaja meditation is based on the experience of thoughtless awareness, and as we allow ourselves to experience this state for a little bit of time everyday, we often find we have a better perspective on our problems and they can be more easily worked through. Sometimes we even find that problems start to gradually disappear on their own as we ourselves become more balanced.
