This is a very interesting place to be. I am not really sure how I found this site but I am enjoying the lessons. I too have read things about the dangers of awakening kundalini and am a little concerned. Not actually afraid because I feel like I have been drawn here by the holy spirit and I am fine with that. I just wonder if someone could shed some light on this matter. Also I have taken classes 1 and 2 and I really can’t say that I have felt anything in my hands maybe a coolness above my head though.

Hello smile
Shri Mataji explained that the Mother Kundalini is situated above and protected by the Mooladhara chakra, which is the centre of innocence and purity within us. The Mooladhara chakra goes into a huge temper if someone attempts to awaken the Mother Kundalini through the wrong methods (e.g. tantrism) or through someone (a “guru”) who is not authorized (i.e. someone who does not have Self Realization). Shri Mataji told that when the Mooladhara chakra is insulted, it emits a huge amount of heat and the person can also start jumping uncontrollably.
Another reason Shri Mataji mentioned is that those who make money out of spirituality tried to put fear in true seekers about Kundalini awakening, which is the only path to Self Realization, so they could continue to profit out of the seekers.
