Hi just started class 1 and found it difficult to sit cross legged and feel relaxed. So used to doing visualisations lying down, and spend much of my day in a chair at a desk. Sitting crossed legged to do the guided meditation and I experienced tension across the top of my shoulders, is this a common thing when starting out?

Loved class 1 and looking forward to rising tomorrow to another visualised meditation and a whole new day.

Dear friend,
You are welcome to sit on a chair, or whichever other way, as long as your spine is straight and upright – the rest does not matter much, and it works much better if you are comfortable.
I would like to mention though, that we do not recommend to combine sahaja meditation with other techniques, including visualization, because visualization will interfere with thoughtless awareness, which is the state that we are trying to achieve and establish when practicing sahaja meditation. So, if it is possible, perhaps you could pause your visualization practice for a few weeks, as long as you are trying out sahaja meditation, and then you can decide, which one works better for you and follow the one that does.
Best,
Mar’yana

Thanks Mar’yana

Have already paused the visualisation techniques whilst I do the classes. Was just comparing the different feelings.
I’ve sat crossed legged this morning with a small cushion under the derrière and this seems to have eased the discomfort I was experiencing.
