Hello,I am 55 years old and besieged with many physical, psychological and spiritual issues. I used to have a happy life but everything is different now. After being my mothers caretaker for 5 years I developed an anxiety disorder that is so intense I have to be on medication to keep me from feeling like killing myself. Along with this anxiety, I developed a bad acne problem (which I never had before), painful stys on my eyelids, itching on my skin and knee pain in both knees (I’ve suffered that for many years). All of these symptoms (except the knees) came about at the exact same time so I know they are related. The anxiety, depression, acne, stys etc… and the doctors have no way of knowing how to get rid of any of it. I have suffered with these things for several years now and there seems to be no natural healing on my part at all. I am very depressed because I thought Sahaja meditation would help me but I never feel a cool breeze and I do not feel any better at all since beginning my practice. I feel no peace or calm at all. It’s only been two weeks but should’t I feel something? It’s like all of my chakras are locked up and there is no flow going on at all. My job is also one of manual labor so my hands hurt all the time as well so I can’t tell by my hands what is going on in my chakras. I could really use some words of encouragement and advice. I feel like giving up. Thank you. Like I said, all of my symptoms came about at the same time so they must be related to the same cause. Can the raising of the Kundalini energy take all of this away? There can be no inner peace in my life while these symptoms persist.
Thank you so much for listening.

P.S. I posted here once before but have never been able to find my post or any replies. Can you please reply to my e mail address as well as here? Thank you.

Dear Mike,

Sorry to hear you are having so many troubles, and that so far you have not seen any positive changes – the way Sahaja yoga works is very individual, some people feel results right away, while for some others it’s quite a slow process. I know people who did not feel any energy for months, but for some reason they kept practicing meditation, and eventually felt many positive changes, but there is no guarantee that this will happen for every single person. It really is up to you whether to continue or not, I would suggest that completing the course before deciding whether you want to continue or not, would be a good idea, but really it depends on how much of your time and effort you are ready to invest at this point.

How far did you get in the course? You might feel a significant difference once you start adding to your daily meditation a footsoak technique, which is introduced in class 5.
Another thing that might actually make a big difference is attending a local weekly program, instead of just going through the online course on your own. Here is the list of links to the local programs by country:…..n-classes/

I wish you perseverance and eventual relief, no matter whether you decide to continue with meditation or not…
