I learned about Sahaja Yoga by mistake one month ago when i was medley surfing the internet for some answers to help me out of my miserable state of mind and spirit. I found a link to the main page of Sahaja Yoga and i was amazed when i saw the picture of SHRI MATAJI NIRMALA DEVI. I was amazed because i remembered seeing her picture maybe 15 years ago while going to school in my home country. I remembered stoping at her picture and reading the announcing of some sort of meetings which where for free. I remembered i wanted to go out of curiosity maybe, not understanding exactly what everything was about.

Now, after so much time, i was finding myself in the dramatic time to wonder around the internet for a cure for my suicidal thoughts. After loosing the person i loved, after losing my job, with all the guilt thoughts and the nightmares that i have for more then 8 years i decided that i have somehow pushed away or closed the positive feeling in my spirit so i was looking for some self help on the internet.

First action i took was listening to the guided meditation that was available on the Sahaja Yoga website. I found myself in such a difficult situation in finding the patience to listen with my eyes closed to everything that Nirmala Devi was saying but i sat there untill the end. I felt something in me changed. Hearing that i need to eliberate myself from guilt was a new experience for me. Usually people inflict on you the feeling of guilt even if you are not involved in the certain matter. To hear that i need not to punish myself or to feel guilty made a enormous impact on my spirit and gave me hope.

Still my discipline regarding the practicing of Sahaja Yoga was far from being established. I new i needed some organized classes to be able to make the necessary steps in achieving the level of calm and patience to enjoy the experience with truth. I searched in the country i live now and unfortunately there are no classes available here, so i found the online meditation which had the incredible possibility to download the classes. I found it very useful to have them on my ipod to be able to listen to them anywhere and so bringing me closer to the will of practicing.

I was telling in the title the famous quote : when the pupil is ready the master will appear. In this case the master did appear to me in 3 different times. First when i was young, second when i clicked the link to the website and the third, the third was in my sleep. Usually because of my thoughts i can not sleep without some music in the background so every night i put music which plays untill the laptop has no more battery or sometimes until the morning. I think that one or maybe more of the classes i had downloaded started playing and so my subconscious received them, for a few nights ago, i dreamt i was in a class with SHRI MATAJI NIRMALA DEVI. She was having maybe the same class i heard the first time on the website and i was performing with the rest of the people there. After the class was over she spoke to me personally and told me, by taking my left hand, two things. I do not remember what was one of them but the feelings i had was unimaginable.

So i started the classes directly on the onlinemaditation website.

Now my thoughts are starting to slow down and i believe i am making small steps in finding the balance and the truth i have been searching for. I still don’t know what my purpose in this life is but i know that God has a plan with me and only through understanding myself and knowing myself i can fulfill it.

Thank you for creating this website and thank you for the invitation to express my story.

Dear Jojo!

Thank you so much for sharing your story, it’s really inspiring! I also felt in my life the gentle guidance you are talking about, and as I look back I can see that I really gave sahaj yoga a sincere try only when I was ready and even somewhat desperate for it :).

I wish you all the best on your spiritual journey, hope this course helps you find peace and joy, and develop your personality to fully become the Spirit that you already are. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments as you are going through the course, we will be glad to be of assistance and to share our experience and understanding of Sahaja yoga with you.
