I started the class a couple of days ago and am finding it quite difficult to concentrate. I start to calm and after about a minute I realise that I have followed a train of thought into next week! I am enjoying the learning experience however and was wondering if anyone can give me any tips with regards to meditation posture? At present I use a stool and kneel (I am 45 and could not manage the cross-legged position!!) And sitting in a chair is not really any better as I find this does not help me relax into the meditation. Any advice would be helpful?

Hello, welcome to our forum! smile
Pillows could be a good option too. Have you found any improvement with your meditations?
Short meditations everyday are known to yield greater results than a long meditation once in a while. smile

Best wishes,

Hi Joanne
I am keeping the meditation times short, about twice a day, morning and evening for about ten mins. I will try using the pillows instead of the little stool. It has also been suggested that kneeling may not be the right position and that I should try sitting. I have been listening to the class 1 guided meditation for a few days now and I am starting to look forward to that time with myself. I am not sure whether to move on to Class 2 at the moment as I am not feeling the energy with my hands. Although I am not feeling anything above my head at the moment, I am much more calm. Do I need to be experiencing this energy above my head before moving to the next class? Thanks again for the support and the free course, I really am very grateful. smile

Hi bartimuscrouch,

Meditating twice a day is a great start for you. Even though you dont feel breeze on top of you head, do not hesitate to move on to the next class. The subtle energy levels are different in each of us but through regular meditation we can balance them and get to a desirable level so that we can enjoy our Spirit.

Sitting cross legged is suggested. However if you have trouble sitting in this position of course you can sit on a chair.

Day by day with regular practise, your inner Kundalini energy gets stronger. Eventually you will feel the cool breeze on top of your head.
