I ve been practising Sahaj Yoga for a few years, but after I suffered from severe illness (ulcerative colitis, Ankylosing Spondilytis, uveitis-they are all auto-immune disorders), I couldn’t put my heart into meditation properly. Even though I mediatated off & on but not regularly. I have developed deep-rooted anxiety & insecurity and have not been well since, my illness also progressed with complications (anaemia, joint pains, low grade fever, with low immunity I m susceptible infections). But for the past few weeks I ve started meditating properly again, but somehow i feel blockage in my Heart & Sahastrar chakras.By surrendering my problems i feel better but it again comes back. I am also very irritable & short-tempered most of the times, i ve earnestly tried to control these but somehow I just cannot and I end up feeling guilty afterwards. Also for a few days i ve been getting really bad diarohhea which somehow medicines have not been able to control, doctors been advising tests after tests. I ve been footsoaking twice, meditating 2-3 times upto 20-30 mins (I achieve  meditative state but I m unable to maintain it) , right hand feels cool but left has no vibrations (occasionally after clearing left has cool vibrations).

I ve full faith in the process. Please advise

Dear friend,

perhaps you can go through thr online course from the beginning to the end, and see whether it helps you re-establish your meditation. See whether the classes on Sahasrara and Heart chakras point you in the direction of how to strengthen these chakras and remove the blockages.

Chronic problems are a drag in that they are deeply rooted within us and are stubbornly clinging on to us, so it sometimes takes a lot of patience to work them out (often they feed on very basic attitudes we have towards life, which we do not even notice ourselves, but which keep pulling us off-balance and make it very difficult for us to establish ourselves in the center).

You haven’t mentioned whether you have started attending the local sahaj yoga meetings again – please do it of you have a chance, that will give you a lot of support, and, frankly, often that’s the only way to overcome some of the problems which we do not even want to face.

Now, about particular things that you have mentioned. You probably know that all autoimmune problems and infections come from the weak left side (of course, that is also what you feel on vibrations), and especially the weak first chakra, so keep working on your left side, ask for innocence to be established within you and for all impure desires to be destroyed. Work on your left side with the candle, do other treatments for the left side (you can find out in your collective if you don’t know what they are). Now, any anger or irritation is a sign of a hot liver, so whenever you feel it, sit down for meditation and put an ice-pack on your liver for a short time (you don’t want to over-do the ice-pack, just to calm down the agressive attitude). Keep on with meditations, and keep your desire strong.

I wish you all the best, mostly the perseverence to work it out.

Sincerely,

Mar’yana

Thank You so much for the prompt response, its  quite helpful. I do attend the local sahaj classes every week wthout miss, but due to my physical condition I am unable to sit through the whole session (generally its half an hour).  I can make out most of the problems I am facing are manisfestations of my chronic illness and I am so entagled in it all, its difficult to get out of it all. But I m sure with perseverance & regular meditation, i ll be able to pull out of it. Also wanted to clarify auto immune diseases are manisfestation of a center heart?

In case I need more help I ll bother you again. Thank you again.

There are different factors that affect immunity in general.

Center heart chakra is placed on the sternum bone, and this is where the antibodies are produces when we are children. The quality of this center is courage or confidence, which comes from the awareness that the child is  protected by the parents and secure within the family, and has nothing to fear or worry about. So if that center is damaged in childhood, the number and strength of the antibodies is not sufficient to fight the diseases, and on the emotional level it manifests as lack of security and confidence, constant fears and worries.

Now, the principle of the Muladhara chakra is innocence, and it is that divine princeple of innocence that is undefeatable, and so it is responcible for “leading” the antibodies to fight off the negativities when our system is attacked by them. In Sanskrit, the anitibodies are called Ganas, and the deity of Muladhara chakra, Shri Ganesha is called the lord, the leader, the chief of Ganas. So if the Muladhara chakra is weak or damaged, then the divine princilpe if innocence is not manifesting, the anti-bodiesare lacking their leading and organizing principle, and so the ability to effectively fight off the attacks of negativities is weakened, the immune system is not working properly. That is why the auto-immune diseases are the result of weak Muladhara (in combinations with the problems in other chakras), and the left side in general.
