Hi everyone,

My name is Florr and I have been practicing Sahaja since October of this year. Prior to this I have tried several different meditation types and did not experience what I have with Sahaja Yoga. After several weeks of practice and while driving to the store I suddenly became aware that I did not have a single thought. My mind was still (no thoughts) yet I was quite aware of my surroundings. I marveled, wow this is wonderful! This is what meditation is all about! That one experience has encouraged me to continue this practice with the hope of achieving even more rewards. Thank you to Siri Mataji and each of you who have made this wonderful practice free for all.

a warm welcome to you and thank you for sharing your experience with us. It is always nice to have such feedbacks as it also encourages others to persevere into the journey to a thoughtless and very peaceful state :).

It is exactly as you describe it, a peaceful and still mind and yet very much aware of the surroundings also called as being very alert.
