What Happens After Death

I know that this might be a very essential question to a lot of people, but this generally struck to me when my grandfather just passed away recently. Although I have gotten my self-realization, felt the cool breeze on top of my fontanelle bone area, and also completed the online course, I recently found my self in deep greef asking myself what would happen to my dead grandfather; will his spirit ever be able to get realization, because he had not gotten it during his stay on Earth. Please, if possible, do reply if you see this question. Thanks once again.

Sincerelly,

Hello Arijit,

I am sorry to hear about you grandfather. It is often the case that we start thinking about such things when a loved one dies. Many people wonder what happens after death and of course no one can really answer the question, but I will offer my beliefs on the subject.

Through meditation I have learned to identify myself with my spirit – this is the essence of who I am. And the spirit is everlasting, so when we “die”, the spirit remains. I also believe that our spirit chooses our life for us, so your grandfather’s spirit chose his life, chose when to die and will choose when to get realisation. This is something that I personally take comfort in – that each of our spirit knows what is best for us and takes care of us. Worrying about your grandfather of course will not help him but knowing that his spirit has already moved onto whatever stage is next for him may help you to let go and not to feel anxiety about him.

Just my thoughts. I hope you are doing okay, and I hope you continue to enjoy the meditation – it can certainly help us to remain balanced when we are facing difficult times.

Sarah
