Hello, everyone.

When I meditate, my body sways from side to side.  It has become more intense and regular since starting the course.  It starts from around the tailbone and goes all the way through the head, causing my body to sway on its own. I am not sure what this is, but it doesn’t hurt or feel bad.  Just would like to know what this is.

I also have not felt the cool breeze and am on course six.  Am I doing something wrong, or is this normal?  I feel my hands tingle or have a prickly sensations often, but no cool breeze.

Thanks for any insight.

Aurora:)

Dear Aurora,

From what I understand, the swaying from side to side during meditation might be a sign of imbalance – meditation is the state of stillness, and the sense of stillness becomes deeper as of gets deeper into meditation. It is nothing to worry about too much, what you can do when this starts happening in to adjust the way you sit, the position or angle of your hips, and see whether it helps.

Another things you should try if you haven’t started it yet is a footsoak treatment – it is an amazingly simple and even more amazingly effective way to balance yourself and clear out your system. Here it is: http://www.onlinemeditation.or…..soaking-1/ Try doing this once or twice a day, for a week or two, and you should start feeling some cool breeze.

Hope this helps, and please let us know if you have any further questions or comments!

Hello Mar’yana,

Thank you for your insight and advice.  I have started the foot soak, and am glad to hear it will help with imbalances.  I also tried adjusting my hips and not bringing my attention to the swaying when it happened last night and this morning.  It helped to minimize it a lot.

Thanks, again!

I started swaying back and forth in November of last year when I was emotionally distressed…  It feels to me like comfort from either the creator or my true self…  I like it it brings me comfort and confirmation.  When I hear truth I rock back and forth or when I meditate or when I am emotionally distraught.

I also get beautiful music that sometimes I am familiar with and sometimes I have never heard before (overjoyed by Stevie Wonder) that I have hummed to finally identify after months…  It is all so comforting..

I have led a very difficult life and I am on a high learning curve.  When you have felt unloved your whole life you become self destructive…  Thanks for this site as i feel it is helping and I’m only on lesson 2….

God Bless You!!!

Emily Eccher  surprised  my favorite smiley usually he shakes his little head back and forth…  I look at is as a look of stress and what is this

Dear Emily,

hopefully, as the course progresses, you will feel better. There is a certain feeling of stillness that accompanies the deep meditation, where the comfort is just there, fully present within our being.

Wishing you all the best, and please stay in touch!

Sincerely,

Mar’yana
