Hello

I recently became interested in meditation due to my depression and anxiety. I don’t know what made me think of meditation, but when I started reading it sounded like something that could really help since I don’t want to take medication. I’ve been following the online courses for about two weeks now and have already seen a dramatic improvement. I feel a lot more “present” and find myself remaining more calm in situations that would usually provoke my anxiety. When I meditate I feel like I’m able to reach thoughtless awareness. I use a candle to focus my attention and really try to put myself in a peaceful state and let go of my thoughts as they come up.

Today I started Class 3 and the Kundalini awakening. I should preface this by saying my arms and back are a little sore and tired from working out the other day, and I was also kind of hungry before I did the awakening. I didn’t eat because I read that you shouldn’t meditate right after eating. During the awakening my right arm started shaking while I was holding my abdomen and by the time I got to the end of the awakening my entire body was shaking. I also felt my body heat up almost to the point of sweating and then cool back down twice throughout the awakening. At the end I definitely felt the cool breeze coming out the top of my head with my right hand, but with my left hand I felt a warm breeze.

Do you think I experienced the awakening or was it just outside circumstances affecting my body? And what does the difference in warm and cool between the hands mean?

Taylor, I’m new to this site but have been doing sahaja meditation for a while.  I may have a little bit of experience with the warm in the left hand/cool in the right… I have found the 3 candle
treatment works great.  If you’re sitting on the floor, have a candle
in front of you, one behind you, and one next to you on your left.  The candles
in front and behind should also be slightly to the left.  Next you can direct the palm of your left hand toward the candle in front of you, and put your right hand down with the palm flat on the ground. This will clear the left side.  You can also take a candle with the right hand and circle the flame around the heart and other centers on the left side in a clock-wise motion.  Gradually the warm sensation will become cool.  There are other techniques you can learn later on, like the use of specific mantras for the left side.  All the best, – Laurent

Dear Taylor,

If you felt the cool or warm breeze coming from the top of you head, that is the sign that the motherly energy Kundalini has been awakened within you, so the answer is yes, definitely. As you continue with the course, this awakening of your energy will become more and more established, of course, if you manage to give it a little of your time regularly (daily is the best), and grow the silence within you.

Different sensations we feel in our hands are the indications of the current state of our subtle system – the right hand indicates the satte of the right energy channel, and the left – of the left energy channel. Coolnes means that your motherly energy is flowing freely through the channel, while heat or tingling indicates that there are some obstructions on her way. As you remain in throughtless state and keep your attention on the energy itself (where you feel it above your head), she will draduall balance our system and remove the obstructions that might be there from the past. So I would suggest for now to jst continue with the course, take it a step at a time and most importantly enjoy the meditation. Gradually you will notice that that ae some tendencies in where you feel th obstructions, which might need some correction on you side – to help your energy deal with them. For example, if you will find that you feel heat with your left palm constantly, then you can try balancing it with the help of the candle treatment as Laurent has suggested in the previous post. For now, though, I would not rush into the treatments, but rather enjoy the experience of meditation. The course is paced in the way that you can try the treatments out when they suggested.

Please keep in touch, and feel free to ask questions or share your experinces whenever you feel like it.

Sincerely,

Mar’yana

Hello All,

I just started with this online course recently and I have finished class 3. When I did the Kundalini awakening with Mataji’s advice everything went on fine but I got the cool breeze only from my left hand and didn’t feel any breeze from my right hand.  I tried Kundalini awakening couple of times and got the same experience every time. Could anybody please advise why I am not getting any breeze from right hand. Is there anything wrong and if there is anything wrong could someone please, please advise me how to cure it.

Thanks in advance to anyone who will help this confused soul.

To Laurent & Mar’yana,

Thank you both for the advise. I will try as Mar’yana said to just enjoy the meditation and pay attention to the energy above my head. If it becomes more pronounced that my left side is obstructed I will definitely tryout the 3 candle technique Laurent described above. Thank you again!

Dear BIR,

It’s very good that you can feel the breeze with at least one hand already – I know of quite a few people who could not feel any breeze for months, so it’s great that you can feel it.

Feeling it with only one hand, and not the other just indicates that one of the energy channels is working just fine (in your case it’s the left side, the side of feelings, the quality of pure desire to become the Spirit), while the other one might be slightly obstructed (for you it’s the right channel, the channel of action, planning, and doing).

Same as with Taylor – you have just started, so I would suggest you just continue with the online course and enjoy the meditation, try to grow deeper into the throughtless state. Gradually as the course progresses, you will be prompted to try ou different things to improve your inner balance. Your right channel might clear out just by the power of the healing Motherl energy while you meditate. If after some time it does not improve, and you still feel nothing, then there are other things we can suggest, but in the meantime do not pay to much attention to what you do not have, instead enjoy what you have already achieved.

It is usually much better if you can also come to one ouf our local classes (if there is one near you) – that way you get more vibrational support and your system balances and clear out more effectively than when you are doing it alone…

Please let us know how things are going.

All the best,

Mar’yana
