Could you help me to understand why we use the right hand (towards the floor) to balance left channel and vice versa? Or am I mistaken?

Hello Atarsi,

Jutst to be clear: to balance the left channel the left hand stays open in the lap and we point or place the right hand on the ground. To clear the right channel, the right hand stays open in the lap and the left hands points upwards and behind us (bend your arm at the elbow so that your forearm is pointing upwards and then turn your hand so your palm is facing behind you – it’s a bit confusing to explain but actually simple to do). These techniques utilize the elements in clearing – we are using the earth element to clear the left channel and the ether element to clear the right channel.

Hope that helps,

Sarah
