OfflineHi – I’m Phoebe, I was given the all clear from Cancer of the vocal chords 6 years ago, now it seems to have returned according to the tests (western medicine). I have meditated on and off for many years, I use affirmations and visualisation regularly, not the same I know, but have been feeling the living universe that I believe we are part of!
A lot of new research shows the connection with thought/mindset and the effects on the body on a cellular level (my work has been in the Alcohol and Other Drugs Sector) – I have only done session 1 so far, however I have a strong feeling that this form of meditation will be great for me. I often wonder if many of the things that have happened in my life, like 4 car accidents hit from behind and 1 as a pedestrian have not been to push me to a more spiritual life. I have felt a calling since my teens(40 odd years), but really have to admit that I have not followed the path as I would have liked, a block?
Has any one out there experienced physical healing with Meditation? I would love to hear any stories, hints, suggestions!
Finding this site is the best thing that has happened lately

OfflineDear Phoebe,
welcome to our meditation course, hope you enjoy it!
About your question – I personally didn’t have any major health issues, but I do know people, who with the help of Sahaja Yoga meditation have recovered from major illnesses like cancer.
We have to understand though, that the illnesses and deseases mostly come as a result of how and where we are – our attitudes, actions, lifestyle, surroundings, etc. create imbalances in our subtle system, which open the door for these health problems to settle and grow within us. Through the regular meditation the imbalances are gradually corrected, and the deseases decrease or disappear. Many people at that point think that they have achieved their goal, and there is no more a need for meditation. After some time they slip right back into their previous habits, attitudes and ways of living, and so the desease comes back in the same or different form.
So it is really a life-long commitment to Sahaja Yoga meditation as practice, lifestyle and general attitude to life, that can give you a way to constantly overcome the cancer-causing imbalances and tendencies…
Having said that, the practice of meditation itself is very joy-giving and never boring, so I hope you really find a place for it in our life and enjoy the full benefits
It often works much better if you can come to one of the local sahaja yoga classes (if there are any where you live), besides, doing the online course on your own…
Wishing you all the best experiences and results. Please do not hesitate to ask us more if you have any questions…
Sincerely,
Mar’yana
OfflineHi All
I have voice problens due to cancer treatment in ’05 and new biopsy six days ago, I am hoping to use the energy that we are part of that I have always thought of as the living universe to cure the cancer that looks like it has returned. I am very glad that I found this site. Kundalini explained (I am only up to session 2) feels like the creative energy that I have always belived in. This is what I need – some instruction to help bring out the higher awareness/ enlightenment but it feels like a long path having read about the teachings of those wise ones from all the worlds religions.
If any one has any direct experience of healing through meditation I would love to hear about it, I know that I must keep up the meditation and work on mindfulness and awakening the Kundalini. I just can not see the road clearly yet. Cancer is very scary.
Love to all
Phoebe
