After practising SY for a little over two months, I didn’t feel like doing my meditation for the last two days. I did try to meditate but it was futile. However, I did around 11:00 am today and actually enjoyed it! After doing my meditation whenever I’m listening to my religious music I’m shedding tears…. I should also mention that my tears are flowing more from my right than left. Why did I feel like not doing my meditation? I should also mention that I so want to achieve that thoughtless kundalini state but its just not happening… in fact after completing the course and doing classes I have a cool palm at best some times… I know its suppose to be spontaneous but sometimes my mind is winning that game
Hello,
Sometimes feeling lethargic or like you don’t want to meditate can be because of left sidedness. Feeling emotional and crying can also result from this. So you can try clearing your left side by keeping your left hand open in your lap and the right hand on the ground. A stronger treatment for the left side is candling, which you can see here:
Like you experienced today, sometimes you just have to ignore the feeling that you don’t want to meditate, and as soon as you start meditating you are glad you did.
As far as not experiencing the thoughtless state, just be patient with yourself, it will come. Try not to have any expectations when you are meditating and just observe yourself. Keep at it, with a little extra attention to clearing your left side.
All the best,
Sarah
